Kate BUSH
(1958)
A timeless British pop icon, Kate Bush wrote her first songs at the age of 11 and became a star before her 20th birthday. Born in Kent, England, the singer-songwriter was the first British female artist to top the singles chart with a song of her own ("Wuthering Heights", 1978) and the first to go straight to number one on the album chart ("Never for Ever", 1980). Also a talented dancer, choreographer and producer, she mastered all aspects of music production. The timeless quality of her compositions was recently highlighted when her 1985 single "Running Up That Hill" was featured in Season 4 of the Netflix series "Stranger Things", once again topping the global charts almost 40 years after its release.
