Arno is no more.
His real name was Arnold Charles Ernest Hintjens, the poet-singer with the husky voice died yesterday. Before a solo career, he was the leader of TC Matic, one of the most famous Belgian bands of the 1980s. He sang in English, French, Dutch and the Ostend dialect. He recorded more than a dozen albums. In 2002 he was awarded the title of "Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres" by the French government.
